The Action for Life Walking For Health Scheme.
Action for Life is the East Surrey Walking for Health initiative. The aim is to encourage people to take part in FREE guided health walks to improve or maintain a healthier lifestyle.
A guide to our walking programme
There are a variety of walks varying in length between 1.5 to 6 miles. They are mainly flat, some include slight inclines/declines and may have stiles on the route. Walkers will be encouraged to walk at a pace that suits them. All walks are led by trained volunteer walk leaders.
There’s no need to book - you just turn up!
Our seasonal walking programmes can be downloaded from the website or available at your local library, surgery, or community centre.
The 1-2 mile walks take approx 45mins to 1 hour 3-6 mile walks take approx 1-2 hours. All the walks are graded to suit the needs of the walker.
Car parking, toilet, and refreshment facilities are available.
